The most special wedding I have photographed to date–my best friend’s. Katelyn and I first met each other when I was 9 years old and she moved into the house next door to mine. I was so thrilled that she wanted to elope in the blue ridge mountains of Asheville, but also because she wanted to wake up at sunrise and hike to the summit of Black Balsam Knob. Now, I have been to Switzerland, and this summit made me feel like this trail was the “Little Switzerland of the Blue Ridge”. You get 360 panoramic views, and the fall colors had just started to turn. It was my first time both being IN a wedding and being the photographer, and I was so grateful to be able to share this day with Katelyn and Jacob.
