We got so lucky on this beautiful fall evening in November on Skyline Drive. It was 13 degrees the night before, but we happened to have 61 degree weather the day I met Paula and Tony. The Blue Ridge Mountains looked majestic in the evening sun. I am always a sucker for a good sunset. […]

Ok y’all, Kristin and Daniel are the coolest. From speaking with them ahead of time about their spring elopement Kristin mentioned they were both super “awkward” in front of the camera. I actually love when people bring that up, because my favorite thing is to prove them wrong! These 2 are so freakin cute, but […]

It’s funny—high school. When you are in it, you think it’ll be “this way” forever and you will keep all your same BFFs for the rest of your live. It never really turns our that way, but it always makes me laugh at what a small world it ends up being. Just like Dylan and […]

You know those moments when you perfectly mesh with a couple? Yeah, those are great. When Lindsey told me she rented a cottage in the Blue Ridge Mountains for their engagement shoot, I almost cried. SO PERFECT. This dreamy little place is the cutest rustic airbnb, sitting right smack in the mountain town of Afton, […]

The Floodwall I think is one of the coolest little gems in Richmond. You get views, without the crowds! Its a nice quiet walk next to the water. Jessica + Marshall met with me in February, and boy did they luck out because it was 60 degrees on this day!! J + M are two […]

It was 32 degrees in February for this session–but these 2 were troopers! I was excited to shoot their session, and even more excited for their wedding, because they are so original and both know exactly who they are as a couple. They chose their own locations, and they were unique to them and each one meant something. We first stopped at their first apartment together, and made our way to the cool little Scuffletown park in downtown Richmond. They have been together for over 5 years, and you can just tell they are perfect for each other. They both are stylish, laid back, funny, and just super nice people. Their May wedding is going to be one to remember.

Erica and Lee were so fun to work with. Erica is pretty much me– she loves dark moody and artistic style so we were a perfect match. They were so awesome wandering around with me (places we probably shouldn’t have been…shh…) and being just really, really cute. I can’t wait for their wedding in October of 2019!

Emily and Ben are college sweethearts who are one of the kindest couples. We met at Boar’s Head in Charlottesville, Virginia on one of the last summer evenings in September. They told me they chose me as their wedding photographer because they like how raw and un-posed my photography style is. I love when I get couples that book me for that reason because it really shows in their photos, just like these two. They were so original together, and I just let them be who they were together and we captured an amazing sunset twilight session complete with a crazy full moon.

Beth and Edwin spent a beautiful August evening shooting their engagement session with me at Libby Hill Park in Richmond. They are the type of couple you meet and you are like, “Wow, they are really in love.” The story of how they met is the cutest-they were both named godparents to a precious little baby of their mutual friends. Now they are getting married in October! My favorite part about spending the evening in Libby Hill with them was half way through Beth said, “This is actually fun!”

Amy and Jason celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary on the day we had this session! I felt so lucky being able to spend a beautiful summer evening at Robious Landing Park celebrating their love. They are an inspiration to me–Jason was THE SWEETEST husband ever and treated Amy like the amazing woman she is the entire time. #marriedgoals
